Album ini dibuka dengan lagu berjudul “Fortnight” yang berkolaborasi dengan penyanyi sekaligus penulis lagu Post Malone. Lagu berdurasi 3 menit 49 detik ini merupakan kolaborasi pertama mereka. 

Dalam bahasa Inggris kuno, “Fortnight” berarti ‘empat belas malam’ atau dua minggu. Lagu ini diduga bercerita tentang mantan pacar terakhirnya yang berasal dari Inggris, yaitu Joe Alwyn. Taylor Swift pernah berada dalam hubungan dengannya sejak 2016 hingga April 2023.

Dilansir dari Genius, Jumat (19/4/2024), perpisahan mereka pertama pertama kali disebutkan oleh majalah People pada 8 April. Namun, penggemar menduga makna “dua minggu” dalam lagu ini berkaitan dengan munculnya rumor kencan Joe Alwyn dengan Emma Laird.

Karena permasalahan ini, berita perpisahan mereka pun menjadi semakin ramai setelah 12 hari sekitar 2 minggu kemudian sejak pemberitaan pertama.
