Shortlist Piala Oscar 2020 Diumumkan, Ada Frozen 2 vs Lion King

Liputan6.com, Los Angeles - Piala Oscar 2020 mulai terasa gaungnya. Sebelum daftar lengkap nominasi penghargaan ini diumumkan pada 13 Januari tahun depan, shortlist alias kandidat nominasi, telah dipublikasikan pada Senin (16/12/2019) malam kemarin.

Dilansir dari Hollywood Reporter, ada sembilan kategori dari Piala Oscar 2020 yang shortlist-nya telah diumumkan. Yakni Film Dokumenter Panjang, Film Dokumenter Pendek, Film Internasional, Tata Rias dan Rambut, Musik (Original Score), Musik (OST), Film Animasi Pendek, Film Pendek Live Action, serta Visual Effect.

Nominasi Piala Oscar 2020 dalam kesembilan kategori ini, akan dipilih dari nama-nama dalam shortlist ini.

Voting untuk menentukan nominasi Oscar akan berlangsung pada 2-7 Januari 2020. Setelah nominasi diumumkan, voting final akan berlangsung pada 30 Januari hingga 4 Februari.

Malam puncak Piala Oscar 2020 akan digelar pada 9 Februari.

Seperti diketahui, Indonesia mengirim film Kucumbu Tubuh Indahku untuk bersaing dalam kategori Film Internasional di Piala Oscar 2020. Sayang, untuk tahun ini pun film Tanah Air belum berhasil masuk dalam shortlist penghargaan ini.
