Liputan6.com, Jakarta - Penyanyi dan rapper kenamaan Amerika, Post Malone, nampaknya tengah serius mencoba peruntungan di genre country. Hal tersebut terlihat dari single terbarunya, Losers, yang baru saja rilis pada 16 Agustus 2024.

Di lirik lagu Losers, Post Malone mengajak rekannya sesama rapper, Jelly Rolls, untuk bekerjasama. Dan seperti di mayoritas lagu-lagu lainnya, ia pun terjun langsung dalam menciptakan karya ini.

Hasilnya? Sesuai dugaan. Pria yang di tahun 2024 resmi menginjak usia 29 tahun ini menuai banyak pujian berkat keseriusannya mengulik genre ini.

Robin Murray dari majalah Clash bahkan menyebut album terbaru lirik lagu Post Malone, F-1 Trillion, sebagai 'surat cinta untuk musik country.'

Seperti diketahui, Post Malone sendiri mulai menggapai popularitasnya di industri musik lewat album Stoney yang rilis pada 2016 silam.

Sejak saat itu, karier Post Malone pun terus naik. Namanya bahkan berada di jajaran musisi dengan penjualan terbaik, setelah berhasil menjual CD sebanyak lebih dari 80 juta kopi album di seluruh dunia.
