Ulang Tahun Ke-50, Scorpions akan Rilis Album Baru

Liputan6.com, London Band legendaris pelantun Wind of Change, Scorpions, berencana segera meluncurkan album terbarunya Return To Forever. Album tersebut dirilis sebagai perayaan 50 tahun mereka beraksi di panggung musik dunia.

Dengan hits andalan We Built This House yang mengabadikan kemampuan mereka untuk bertahan selama lima dekade, Scorpions bangga akan keberhasilannya tersebut. Menurut band asal Jerman tersebut, apapun yang terjadi, musik mereka akan selalu disukai.

"Benar-benar mencengangkan, kami bertahan sejauh ini, di masa ketika musik tampak sudah mati," ungkap Rudolf Schenker, sang gitaris seperti dilansir Planet Rock, belum lama ini.

"Ketika musik grunge sedang naik daun, kami pergi ke Asia untuk meraih pasar baru dan mendapatkan fans baru. Kami berhasil terus bermain musik dan mendapatkan teman baru untuk musik kami," tambahnya.

Sebelumnya, band yang beranggotakan Rudolf Schenker, Klaus Meine, Matthias Jabs, James Kottak, dan Paweł Mąciwoda berencana untuk mengakhiri kebersamaan mereka dengan album Sting In The Tail 2010 lalu. Namun ternyata, mereka berubah pikiran.

Scorpions telah terbentuk sejak 1965. Sepanjang perjalanan bermusik mereka, band ini telah menjual lebih dari 100 juta keping album.(Gul/Mer)
