France Launched Airstrikes as 'Payback' on ISIS Caliphate
Despite the truth behind the terrors in Paris still widely investigated, France President still necessitated the fight against ISIS.

Liputan6.com, Jakarta In the wake of sophisticatedly coordinated attacks in Paris, French President Francois Hollande went to immediately instruct the conduction of ‘appropriate action’ as part of his responsive gesture condemning the unwanted events that have occurred simultaneously in the last hours of November 13 2015.

According to President Hollande, the horrifying incursions within the capital city of France beckon the need to counter-attack and that those were signals of “act of war” on France as a whole.

“We are going to lead a war which will be pitiless. Because when terrorists are capable of committing such atrocities they must be certain that they are facing a determined France, a united France, a France that is together and does not let itself be moved, even if today we express infinite sorrow,” he said shortly after faced with rampant terror reports a few days ago, as cited in The Guardian.

As the repercussion, France finally settled on its decision to join The United States in its venture combating the terrorist network in Syria. November 15 2015 marks the ‘payback’ time day where French fighter jets reportedly conducted massive forays in Syria with focus primarily sets in the city of Raqqa.

Citing from CNBC, Raqqa has been chosen as the primary target for raid as it has been identified as the Islamic State’s strongest hold laying the very foundation of its so- called caliphate. The primary targets during Sunday’s airstrikes include the terrorist network command center, recruitment center, weapons arsenal, and training sites for recruited members.

"Clearly, it's a military activity, but it really sends a very strong political message, and it's all for internal consumption within France," said retired Military Analyst Maj. Gen. James to CNN.

Information from inside Syria suggests the bombings had cut water and electricity supplies. (Akp)
