Liputan6.com, Jakarta - Daftar nominasi ajang penghargaan musik bergengsi 61st Grammy Awards atau Grammy Awards 2019, akhirnya telah diumumkan pada Jumat (7/12/2018) pagi waktu Amerika Serikat.
Nama-nama penyanyi dan musikus beken siap untuk memperebutkan piala Grammy Awards 2019. Dalam pengumuman tersebut tercatat, Drake dan Kendrick Lamar menjadi dua musikus yang paling banyak masuk dalam nominasi.
Uniknya, nominasi tahun ini didominasi oleh banyak musikus wanita. Seperti kita ketahui, pada tahun lalu banyak pihak yang protes karena sedikitnya kaum hawa dalam nominasi Grammy Awards 2018.

Hal lain yang juga patut dicatat, Beyonce dan Jay-Z yang biasanya masuk ke dalam nominasi utama pada tahun-tahun sebelumnya, malah tidak mendapatkan tempat. Padahal, pasangan suami istri ini baru saja merilis album kolaborasi bertajuk Everything Is Love.
Selain itu, Kanye West, Taylor Swift, dan Ariana Grande yang sempat disebut-sebut sebagai 'anak emas' di industri musik dunia pun tak masuk di kategori utama.
Shawn Mendes, Janelle Monae, Alessia Cara, dan Zane Lowe dari Apple Music, tampil di acara CBS This Morning untuk mengumumkan daftar nomine untuk kategori utama.
Acara puncak Grammy Awards 2019 akan disiarkan secara langsung dari Staples Center, Los Angeles pada Minggu, 10 Februari 2019 mendatang.
