Nate Ruess Beberkan Masalah Pribadi di Album Barunya

Liputan6.com, Jakarta Album solo perdana Nate Ruess yang berjudul Grand Romantic baru saja rilis. Album baru tersebut pun tak tanggung-tanggung digarapnya.

"Kenapa orang harus membelinya? Well, saya sangat mencintainya. Saya menuangkan seluruh hati ke dalam album tersebut. Alasan yang sama ketika pertama kali terjun ke dunia musik. Saya merasa terhubung. Saya berharap orang juga bisa merasakan yang saya rasakan," ujar Nate Ruess saat bertemu Liputan6.com dalam acara launching albumnya di Hard Rock Cafe, Jakarta, Jumat (31/7/2015).

Nate Ruess tampak antusias dalam mempromosikan album barunya. Ia juga sempat menyanyikan single Nothing Without Love secara akustik untuk para jurnalis yang hadir di acara tersebut.

Rupanya, `Grand Romantic` juga dijadikan sebagai ajang curhat bagi pria yang pernah berduet dengan Pink dalam hits Just Give Me A Reason tersebut. Hampir seluruh lagu dalam album tersebut berkisah tentang pengalaman pribadinya sendiri.

"Judul Grand Romantic muncul sebelum saya mengerjakan album tersebut. Saya sedang jatuh cinta, dan saya mulai menuangkannya ke dalam lagu-lagu. Saat jatuh cinta, saat itu saya mulai menulis begitu banyak lagu-lagu sedih," kata Nate Ruess.

Grand Romantic menghadirkan Nothing Without Love dan Great Big Storm sebagai single andalan. Nate Ruess memutuskan untuk merilis album solo setelah 15 tahun bermain bersama bandnya, FUN. Band pelantun We Are Young tersebut berhasil memenangkan dua Grammy Awards pada 2013 lalu untuk kategori Best New Artist dan Song of The Year untuk lagunya We Are Young.
