Liputan6.com, Jakarta Two Australian nationals, Anthony Dawson and his younger brother Thomas Dawson, have been detained by the Indonesian police due to alleged malpractice in conducting their chiropractic duty. They were immediately arrested after law enforcers located them amid raid in the headquarter of Chiropractic Indonesia situated in Senayan earlier today.
The raid was done in connection to authority’s earlier findings of malpractice done by chiropractors in Chiropractic First clinic at Pondok Indah Mall (PIM) which took the live of one woman.
“Two foreigners have been arrested. Anthony Dawson and his younger brother Thomas Dawson who has been taken into custody earlier as he has been found guilty for malpractice at Gandaria City’s clinic,” Head of Jakarta Health Department Maria Margareta told Liputan6.com, Tuesday (26/1/2016).

“The facility’s permit is there but the working permits for these two foreigners are the most important thing that we need to see available. They do not have these permits,” she continued.
“It is actually not a major bust or raid, we are just doing our job, monitoring, controlling and invigilating over the places that have been reported to be the place where malpractice is done,” she added.
The focus of Indonesian population was significantly an intense one upon the malpractice case of American chiropractic doctor whose legal responsibility is urged over the death of 33-year-old Indonesian woman last year shortly after having her second treatment with the suspect at one of his clinics in Jakarta.
The case successfully raises potential disappointment and fear of the Indonesian general population over the true capability of both local and foreign doctors in any clinic in the future to come.
