Liputan6.com, Jakarta - The relationship linking Indonesia and Italy is almost unheard of to many as exposures to its 65 years of bond have been yielded at fairly minimal scale. What many people are missing focused solely on the fact that the relations of the two maritime powers has been a desirable one with the Italian Ambassador to Indonesia, Federico Failla surprisingly labeling it as ‘very excellent’.

In a special interview held with Liputan6.com for ‘The Ambassador’ program on October 30 2015 at the Italian Embassy in Jakarta, Mr. Federico shares remarks on Italy-Indonesia tie which is deemed important for nationwide audience to know and consider. He further shares how the tie goes stronger than ever when the two are engaged in multilateral organizations at the international level.

“We cooperate well in some international organization, such as G20, the United Nations and so on,” Mr. Federico explained.

This is primarily because, the more they are involved in globally-held ventures, the more likely that they realize that they share common views on various subjects and raise concerns over similar issues.

“There is always room for improvement, we want to strengthen further. Bilaterally yes we do not have a problem, but we can do better,” he further explained.

It is expected that with the furtherance of relation through improvement, the relation will gain the exposure it lacks for quite a while. For Mr. Federico, countries do not necessarily have to have a problem with one another to improve the relation.

It is actually a good sign to embark upon renewed framework of bilateral relationship when there is no problem hindering such process. (Akp/Tnt)
