Setelah 32 Tahun, Bon Jovi Hengkang Dari Label Rekaman

Liputan6.com, Los Angeles Bon Jovi memutuskan untuk hengkang dari Mercury Records, label rekaman tempat mereka bernaung selama 32 tahun. Keputusan tersebut diambil lantaran sudah merasa tidak cocok lagi dengan manajemen yang sekarang.

Seperti dilansir NME, Senin (24/8/2015), ketidakcocokan tersebut timbul setelah Mercury Records diakuisisi oleh Universal Music pada 2013 lalu. Masa depan Mercury pun dikabarkan menjadi tak jelas.

Rupanya Bon Jovi tidak secara baik-baik berpisah dari perusahaan yang telah bekerja dengan mereka sejak awal karier. Hal itu terungkap dalam salah satu lagu terbaru mereka yang berjudul Burning Bridges. Lirik dalam lagu tersebut menyiratkan semua yang terjadi.

"Setelah 30 tahun, mereka membiarkanmu menggali kuburanmu sendiri/Sekarang mungkin kau bisa belajar bernyanyi atau memetik/Kami akan memberikanmu separuh keuntungan/Kaulah mengapa aku menulis lagu ini," bunyi terjemahan spenggal lirik `Burning Bridges`.

Sementara itu, Bon Jovi yang telah menjual lebih dari 120 juta keping rekaman sejak 1983 silam tersebut akan melangsungkan konsernya di Indonesia pada 11 September 2015 mendatang.(Gul/Feb)
