America's Got Talent Putri Ariani Receives Support from President Joko Widodo

Liputan6.com, Jakarta - The America Got's Talent contestant, Putri Ariani, has dazzled President Joko Widodo (Jokowi). The number one person in the country invited the talented singer to the Freedom Palace on Wednesday (14/6/2023).

President Jokowi said Putri Ariani's soulful performance of her song "Loneliness" has made him weak. 

"Very profound, very profound," said Jokowi.

He also finds Putri as an inspiration for other young people in the country.

"There is no barrier if one has strong will, willing to work hard," said the President.

Putri Ariani's talent captivates millions of listeners thanks to his appearance on America's Got Talent. The judges, including Simon Cowell and Heidi Klum, gave her stellar compliments.

"We were all mesmerized by you," said supermodel Heidi Klum.

President Jokowi also promised to help Putri in voting. He will ask his nearly 53 million followers on Instagram to support Putri.

He highlighted the Golden Buzzer which Putri Ariani received from Cowell. Jokowi believes the recognition will be beneficial to take the young singer to the semi-final or final.

"In the near future, Putri Ariani will go to the United States of America to continue the competition next August. From Homeland, I and the entire people surely will support her with the entire hearts," said Jokowi on Twitter.

Putri Ariani said she received pocket money from Jokowi to support her endeavour in the US.

Separately, Minister for Education Nadiem Makarim offered a scholarship for Putri so she could study in her dream school, The Juilliard School.
