Lagu Baru 5 Seconds of Summer Jiplak My Chemical Romance?

Baru-baru ini, sejumlah fans 5 Seconds of Summer (5SOS) mempertanyakan kemiripan lagu band pujaan mereka She's Kinda Hot dengan hits milik My Chemical Romance, Teenager.

Menjiplak? Gitaris 5SOS Michael Clifford, mengakui kemiripan itu, namun ia menampik kalau bandnya menjiplak. Clifford menganggap kalau kemiripan tersebut dikarenakan komposisi blues 12 bar yang sama-sama digunakan dua band tersebut.

"Itu hanya karena sama-sama blues 12 bar. Saya rasa kuncinya juga sama," ujar Michael Clifford.

"Orang-orang bilang 'Kalian harus sedikit terdengar seperti My Chemical Romance'. Lalu kami mulai terdengar seperti My Chemical Romance dan mereka mulai bilang 'Kenapa kalian terdengar seperti My Chemical Romance'?" ujarnya kepada Billboard, Selasa (18/8/2015).

5 Seconds of Summer baru saja mengumumkan kepada publik perihal album kedua mereka. Bertajuk Sounds Good Feels Good, album anyar tersebut akan rilis 23 Oktober 2015 mendatang.
